From Mendoza, Argentina Dark ruby/burgundy colour to a mauve rim. Aromas of raspberry, mocha, and cassis. Medium-full bodied, present tannins, with notes of raspberry, cassis, and oak. Acidity is almost like that of a Barbera. Short-moderate finish, ~15-20s with blue fruit. 86 points (10/27/2004).

Funny, your note is really similar to my thoughts on this wine when I tasted it last and I rated it 85 points at that time.

The Syrah/Bonarda is a better wine and the Susana Balbo Malbec is very good stuff for just under $30. jb
