Actually, check with MudPuppy (send him a PM). If he does not have it, check with Wine Library & Carolina Wine Company. All 3 ship to most states. But, I think that MudPuppy has it.

Check Vintage Wine Merchants in Santana Row. Last time I was there they had some.

Try contacting Philip Chen, of Echelon Wines - jbl868@hotmail.com. I picked up a half dozen from him a couple months back for $45 per, he may have some left.

We just had this for the first time on Friday, and it is everything I've read about it, just wonderful stuff.

We had some of this last night with vanilla ice cream. Simply outstanding. I understand it is also killer with pecan pie.

NCVL... sorry for being so stupid in my earlier posts. I saw Buller NV and I was thinking 'fine' rather than 'rare'.

I'm glad MudPuppy was able to help you. He helped me with these earlier this year.

I think this is my first time posting on this thread, although I've had the wine a few times before:

Killer wine. I'm not certain it is worth the perfect score Parker gave it. However, I have never rated it lower than 94 -- which is the equivelant of a Parker 96. Usually, I rate this at about 94.5 or 95 -- the equivelant of a Parker 97 or 98.

I can't listen to that much Wagner. I start getting the urge to conquer Poland.

I have 3 of these beauties for special occasion(s). Safe to assume that I can cellar these for a long time to come. Yes?

Thanks!

Yes.

These are fortified wines on a base of 50 y-o material. These should last a decade if untouched by human hands...but they won't

No, I don't think they'll last a decade in our house

Opened one last night.

Man is this a special wine, which does deserve it's elaborate package. A skinny long bottle that holds nectar, this remains in my top 3 Oz stickies of all time. imo blows away the Fine Muscat which is an excellent wine.

Color- mahogany

Aroma-alcohol which blows off followed by prunes and molasses.

Flavor- deep intense and complex with marinated raisin, prunes, toffee, and dark caramel. Still a lovely sipper for desert. Nice smooth and warm coffee finish.

AT a 1/4 of the price, the Premium Fine Muscat is a phenomenal deal, give it a shot!!

I have and agree with you, it is a great deal, but the difference to my palate is substantial, from excellent to outstanding.
