| $26CAD (375mL) From Veneto 85% Vespaiola, 10% Tocai, 5% Garganega
Honeyed gold colour. Lots of thin legs. Aromas of honey, apricot, mandarin orange, peaches, vanilla, creme brulee, and lemon peel. Full-bodied, unctuous wine with honey, apricots, peaches replaying from the nose. Perfect acidity to offset the sweetness. Long, long, lingering finish with apricot notes, 90+ seconds. Absolutely delicious. Time to go buy a couple more bottles. 95 points. (01/03/2004).

| Thanks for the note, Futronic. Sadly, it costs US$25 also.
We (ojeffso & his brother, armmar, and I) enjoyed a bottle of this (of unknown vintage) with our dinner at Babbo in autumn '02. I made a note to get some for myself, but then forgot to do it. Now, with your reminder, I'm going for some.
I think I'm going to compare this 2000 to a 1990, both of which seem to be available at the same shop. | | Cheers, y'all

| Let me know what you think of the two vintages.
I agree that the $26CAD is a great price - I picked one up for VM to bring down to New Orleans as part of our big swap. Goooooo wine at par!
Up here the Torcolato is $26CAD/375mL and the Acininobili is $84CAD/375mL. I understand that Acininobili is supposed to be divine, but at triple the price? I'll take more Torcolato, thanks!

| | Golden yellow colour. Aromas of honey, apricot, peach, white flowers, and citrus. Full-bodied, medium-sweet. Shows excellent acidity to balance sweetness. Replays from nose on palate. Moderate-long finish, ~40s with honey, citrus, and white pepper. Not up to the same level as the previous bottle. 90 points (11/13/2004). | | | |

| | Burnished gold colour. Aromas of apricot, peaches, honey, white flowers, spice, and orange blossoms. Full-bodied. Sweet. Great acidity to balance the sweetness. Apricot, peaches, and honey replays on the palate joined by orange rind. Long finish, ~45-50s with peaches and apricots. 92 points (12/31/2004). | | | |
