| 2000 Gehringer Brothers Signature Series Riesling Ice Wine -- from, in my experience, the most consistently good British Columbia ice wine maker. This vintage is the best I've tasted from them. Fabulous nose of apricot and cotton candy; flavors of apricot, apple, pineapple, honey swirl together; perfect acidity to balance the sweetness and provide a lip-smacking, long finish. Harvested at 43 Brix, with RS 24% (only 10% alcohol), and yet beautifully balanced. I wish I had more of this. App. 92-3 pts. This one MIGHT age well for a while, but why bother?

| I haven't had the 2000 but I bought a few bottles in Vancouver of the 1999. I think it was at Marquis. It is remarkably good. If I saw it again for the price I paid (Go Strong Dollar!) I would purchase it again.
Please don't hate me Board-O . | | | |
