| Not sure if pros have rated; WT 86; $30 for 1/2 bottle
We tasted this at an odds and ends wine party last night. It is from the Santa Lucia Highlands in Monterrey, CA and is 100% Viognier.
It smells somewhat lemony but resolves to a candied orange in the mouth. It had a nice feel in the mouth with decent weight but really died on the finish.
It may not have been to my taste but there are a lot of seriously better stickies for $30 a 1/2 bottle. In my estimation it is about $25 overpriced. Needless to say I won't be buying any of this one!
A side note. Can I mention that this has the ugliest packaging? It is an orange label on a slightly yellow-green bottle. Ugh. | | | |
