My wife was making a dessert with bosc pears and grapes that called for some muscat. Not having any and too lazy to go to the store, I fished out a bottle of this, thinking that at the original price of $19, it was no biggie having her use it in cooking. When she only used 1/3 of the bottle, I poured a glass and got a shock.

Color was deep amber and the wine was thick and unctuous. The bouquet was almost like that of a late riesling with plenty of stewed peachy like fruit. The blend of sweetness with an apricot-nectarine taste was wonderful, but I was ill-prepared for the light caramel endless finish. The wine was a breath-taking surprise. 92.
