We had this wine paired with an apple tart. Wine was served chilled in a brandy snifter. This wine is a Helen Turley made dessert wine with 16 % alcohol grown from Muscat grapes on the famous Jackass Hill. Wine is a moderate lemon color with a pale lemon rim. Very pungent aromas of cling peaches and some alcohol. Medium bodied (for a dessert wine) in the mouth with peach, apple, some underlying grapefruit on the finish and bright acidity. Just shy of moderate finish. jb Rating 87. Wine costs $18 for a 375ml. QPR C+. I can find a bunch of dessert wines at this price that deliver more bang for the buck, but it was still an enjoyable drink. jb

Similar notes to JB, little hotter than I expected. Given it was 93 degrees outside with 65% humidity in Durham today, this hit the spot.
