Supposedly the Rare is now selling for $300 a 1/2 bottle. You can still find it for $150, but I'll be disappointed if the going rate as increased that much (damn RP and his 100 pt rating).

I'd like to try it, but it's hard to believe it's twice as good as the Grand Muscat (think I paid $69.99/half bottle).

I really like that Grand Muscat. I found a place that had it for $40 and cleaned them out.

Wow, that's a great price!! Typical retail these days is $90-100.

Whoops, I bought the Special for $40 and the Rare for $100. No Grand. Sorry for the confusion.

I had my last bottle tonight. It was good, but not as good as many other bottles. This one was not hitting on all cylinders. I've had better bottles. It was not @ all a bad bottle but not showing its best performance. Perhaps a stage that it is in @ the moment?!?

I have the exact same impressions from a bottle I had a couple weeks ago...it just wasn't that great.

With the possible exception of Yalumba, I don't love any of the sub-$20 Aussie stickies to which Parker assigns such huge ratings. In almost every case, I have loved the $50-300 crowd that get similar ratings. I am sure that therapy might help.
