| Molino Real Mountain Wine 2000 12,5% Moscatel One of the best wines of the year so far for me. I had the 98 version of this sweetie made by Telmo Rodríguez and Pablo Eguzkiza in the mountain range of the Axarquía in Málaga, and this 2000 is just as good, only more expensive. Pale color with greenish hues. Stop watching, the nose hits you wherever you are in the room. Impressive intensity of orange blossom and a gingery, limey touch, with superfine mineral (slate) notes. Unctuous already, this will only get better, but hey this is a 50cl. bottle at 36E on average and only available in the Canaries for 48E so I had it all for myself (my sister had a small pour) two Saturdays ago. In the palate it shows zesty acidity and all the sweet promise of the nose beautifully balanced into a most refreshing sticky with enviable persistence that lasts and lasts. 93+
