| Agreed on the quality, although I tend to go with the Chambers Tokay. When I want a sticky Muscat I go with Bullers, but the quality is there for both types from both producers. Any one of these four combinations (Chambers/Bullers + Tokay/Muscat) is a great value.
Even better value: Buy them from The Wine Club, Wine Exchange, or Sam's ... you can get them for $12 or less.

| LCC - Yes indeed.
For me the main difference in these wines is the weight - the Bullers are heavyweight stickies and the Chambers' are lighter with more delicate flavors. I have all four of them (the Buller and Chambers Tokays and Muscats NV) and pick them based on what the dessert is going to be. | | | |

| There are many varieties of Chambers which can be very confusing. For example there is:
-Chambers Rosewood Botrytis Tokay
-Chambers Rosewood Rutherglen Liqueur Muscat
-Chambers Rosewood Rutherglen Liqueur Tokay
-Chambers Rosewood Rutherglen Liqueur Muscadelle Tokay (the only one I've tried -- is it the same as the one above it?  )

| I do prefer the Chambers Tokay to the Buller, but the Buller Muscat to the Chambers. Both are very easy on the wallet and offer large bang for the buck.

| Actually, the confusion is that every year these wines are released and it becomes hard once in cellar to distinguish since they are all nonvintage. They differ in taste, however, though only slightly.
The penultimate release of the NV Chambers Special Muscat ($35)of 2-3 years ago remains my favorite. I had the good fortune to share one w kybo in 2001. Last year, they changed the name to Grand Muscat and to my palate it was not as tasty (3 or so pts less) despite similar RP ratings. Neither were the basic regular versions. The current release, which has just arrived here and is rated in the last WA issue, I will purchase later today. It has retained the same name but is higher in price.
I prefer Chambers Muscats to all others (Campbells, Stanton/Kileen,Bullers,Trevor Jones, Dutschke). And while I prefer Buller's Tokay to their Muscat by the slimmest of margins, neither are as good as Chambers versions, IMO.
The best Oz Muscat I have ever had was the Rare Chambers, also of 2 years ago release. If it were not so expensive, my cellar would be stocked full of those.
Despite our palatal differences among these, no one can argue that these are not high quality stickies for the price. The best thing is that few people know or buy these, so availability to the adventurous is high. In our area, I am the only person to buy these. One gentleman comes from Delaware to buy some, but that's it. | | | |

I am holding onto the Chambers from last year the ones in which got 96 points from RP. The Rare from 2 years ago is still available up here, but I have not brought myself to purchase one yet. | | | |

| I bet you'll soon be running out to buy 10 more! I started with 3, quickly bought 8 more (and to that date I have never bought a full case of anything!), and have bought maybe a dozen more since then. I'd probably buy even more if there was more here to buy, as everyone we serve it to loves it, it's cheap (relatively), and it will last forever, and almost forever even after opening.
