My first '03 sticky I really liked. Presense of acidity makes all the difference. Rubber tire marks on the nose, dried apricot on the finish. This one is as close as it gets to the remarkable '01.
I wouldn't mind to get more.

I just picked up a couple of 375mL's.  Thanks for the note, will probably try in a year or so.  If I can hold out.  I have a lot more LtB's, so those will probably be drunk first.

  • 2003 Château Suduiraut - France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Sauternes (7/29/2008)
A really impressive Sauternes - rich golden yellow in hue with brilliant clarity, this wine had amped flavors of peaches, apricots, petrol-notes and honey, all with a vibrant acidic backbone. Sure, it was rich and decadent, but it did not have the flabbiness other tasters noted. A delicious dessert wine that paired decadently with a peach tart. (93 pts.)
