The excitement leading up to the tasting of this wine was just too much to handle. No decanting time. It was the color of Grade B maple syrup in the glass with virtual no legs whatsoever. It was thick, it was viscous. The nose was of petrol, almost like the oil you use to paint your walls. Loads of apricot and peaches. The palate was sublime with +30 second finish that just lingered on your tongue and make you not want to brush your teeth again. More apricot and peaches on the palate. It was a great experience to be able to say I've had a Tokaji Essencia...is it worth the $600 price tag? What a hard call...BD96
