Not really. I see this often with rieslings (German). Sometimes, often, I would prefer true Kabinett to an Auslese because they are very different wines for different times.

Perhaps it is just me, but over the last few years I bought so many Auslese (and so many spatelese that were auslese in reality, kabinetts that were Spatlese/Auslese, etc...) that I am really looking to get more Kabinett and even Qba from 2004 to even my cellar out and provide more daily drinking.

Just my silliness perhaps.
