12g residual sugar/100ml
Brix at harvest: 37
Harvest date 11/29/02

Only 600 375 ml. bottles were produced of this 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Semillon dessert wine. I have been told you cannot get this wine accept from the winery direct. This wine has 14.5% alcohol. How this wine came about was a very pleasant surprise. Next to Karens vineyard in Napa was some SB grapes that had developed some classic noble rot and since Karen is not a dessert wine expert she called in a friend who was. When he arrived he was beaming from ear to ear. In the end they purchased the grapes from the neighbor and produced this very well made micro production dessert wine that is not cloying at all even at 37 Brix.

It offers plenty of orange, pear, apricot, guava and strawberry intermixed with just the right amount of acidity. Karen insisted on serving this wine not too cold and it went beautifully with the fresh prepared fruits of apple, pear and strawberries. I would rate this Napa Valley sweetie at 90pts. Well done.
