You'd love it now, Joe, or you'll love it in 4 or 5 years. It seems to have that perfect balance that would allow it to fade very gently over a long time rather than just die suddenly. Its relatively pale color for a wine of this age suggests good cold storage.
I think your present plan sounds pretty good.  | | | |

| | opened a 350 this weekend in celebration of my cousins engagement. Awesome, just awesome. My notes are really in line with yours Seaquam. For some reason I got this essence of Rhubarb which was cool. The citrus and pears showed really well up front and then as it opened up there were more dark carmel notes. Fantastic, it does have years left. | |

| | Dark gold colour. Aromas of white flower, honey, jasmine, orange rind. Medium-full bodied, medium-sweet, with excellent acidity. Tangerine, honey, white flower, and clove notes on the palate. Moderate-length finish, 35-40s, with nuts and tangerine. 94 points (11/19/2005). | | | |
