Notes from vintner Franz Heiss: "Riesling is my favorite grape. This is where you get a chance to really experience elegance and finesse. As is typical for a Riesling you'll find peach and apricot notes. Also typical is the acidity (8.8 g/l). They call the Riesling the king of the wines, and I agree. 2001 brought beautiful wines in that they were very clean in their fruitiness and had beautiful acidity and elegance. This wine has eternal youth, meaning it is staying young."

from Falstaff Wine Guide: Shining gold color. The nose has fine notes of mandarins and tropical fruits. Elegant palate, with a lean acidity which carries the wine. True to varietal. Elegant finish of lemons.

375 ml
156 g/l residual sugar
$37.99/USD
