Needs at least a day of open fridge time to allow the plastics/petrol to blow off, also softens a bit of an edge on the palate. Mild honeysuckle nose with a little vanilla oak. Somewhat elegant on the tongue with very mild honey flavors mixed with soft apricots and peaches, barely sweet. With a couple days air, well balanced and approachable. Light bodied with a finish that barely lasts 30 seconds. After a year of exploring the '01s this just leaves you frustrated and unfulfilled. I guess this is rated 91 by either RP of WS, can't remember which. Stealthman - 87 pts. For $70 don't bother.

This wine filled in a bit over the course of a couple nights and could possibly put on weight with some real bottle age. Still, not in the same league most any '01.
