| 2000 Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port $69
This Port is absolutely scrumcious, superlative extraction, layers of flavors that run deep, and a knockout nose. Blackberry Liqour, smokey creosote, and dark fruits galore greet the consumer on a silky smooth and endlessly huge massively endowed palate, yet still so young. One can only imagine what the future holds for this. Suprisingly approachable, but definetly one to sit on for at least another 10 years-minimum. An amazing young Port!!! 96-98+ points, the best Vintage Port I have had to date.

| | Had this again last night at the Great Barrington offline at ttepper's. It was very consistent with my first experience and one I am glad I have made a purchase of. Yes it is very young, but is still so good. One can ony imagine how this will be with 15-20 years of good storage and bottle age. I gave this a 97 this time. | | | |

| | Yes. I agree, I enjoyed it a lot (last night). No ratings from me because of my lack of experience with Ports. But, I loved it. Will do some searching around for it (starting Monday). Thank you, Seek, for bringing it. | | | |

| | Found an open 375 of this last night stashed away. Obviously just buried somewhere after a dinner party and too many bottles, and I believe this was first opened about seven months ago. Still a WOW! I can recall how powerful it was at first. Much softer with the unusual addition of a cola-like flavor. Great with a cigar after a rack of lamb and worthy of each of its 98+ pts. | | | |

| | From 375mL. Opaque, inky black colour. Stains the glass. Aromas of black licorice, black plums, raspberry, alcohol, roasted almonds. Full-bodied, tannic, with alcohol, cinnamon, blackberries, cloves. Medium-sweet. Long finish, 50s, with black fruit. Surprisingly drinkable, but still very, very primary. Leave this in the cellar. 93 points (05/21/2005). | | | |

| This is why I bought 375s and 750s of most 2000s. I can sample the 375s to gauge progress and not commit severe infanticide on the 750s.
I did get a chance to sample both the 2000 Fonseca and Taylor (courtesy of someone else's bottles) last winter & the Fonseca was stunning, while the Taylor was shut down hard.
