| | Slightly clouded crimson red with a tinge of orange. Red rasberries, red cherry, almonds, and molasses nose with a goog bit of heat. The wine shows good fruits on the mouth and is full bodied, but is a quite alcoholic. The finish is very long. I find I'm noticeing the alcohol in mature ports much more since I started drinking more white, non-fortified desert wines and I don't find it a good thing to my tastes. I had fairly high hopes for this wine and I like it, but I find it more like kicky booze than mind stimulating wine. 86 points. We'll see how it does over the week. | | | |
