From a 375, this is dark purple, and showing very primary. It's tannic (duh!), but there's a ton of black cherry, black raspberry and licorice on the nose and palate. This is not a very sweet Port, compared to the other 2000s I have tried. I'm not aware ofthe house style for GC, so I do not know if this is typical. Given the level of fruit and tannins (and very nice balance between them) this seems on the right track for fine aging. I'm not going to touch any more of mine for at least 10 years, and I'll leave a bottle or two to go the distance (however long that is).
