this was a very nice chardonnay. it had a pleasant nose of citrus & fig with vanilla & spice notes. it was very smooth, somewhat buttery on the palate with a nice lemony acidity coming through to balance things out. it seems to be lightly oaked, just enough i'd say. i also got some apple flavors in the glass, but i later found out my wife had an apple candle burning & there were several glasses of sparkling apple cider in the area, so i wonder if those influences could have suggested this to me? i bet this would have gone well with the thanksgiving turkey, but i just had a glass & moved on to the reds. my mother-in-law really liked this wine a lot & she drank most of the bottle. i don't drink many white wines, but i enjoyed this & would rate it @90 points. for the $25 i paid , this woud represent pretty darned good qpr.

The vanilla you taste is the oak.

I agree with these TNs, except I got no apple and certainly no fig. I love fig in wines and I got nuttin here. But this was a very nice chard. 90 points I agree with too. Thanks Pops!

Tonight, I got the fig! Very faint, but it was there. Man, I have not had much wine recently, this tasted sooooooooo good.
