Lovely clear, golden hue. On the nose, aromas of pear plus hints of tangerine are enveloped by a distinct mineral quality, probably inherited by it's origins in the Chalone appellation (the vineyard is supposedly one of the oldest planted with Pinot Blanc in CA). Medium to full bodied, my first impression on the palate was the fruit, which soon gave way to buttery oak. Nice finish with the mineral complexity outlasting other flavors. Great QPR, I picked up a couple of bottles for $19 but have seen this same wine for sale on the internet for under $18. Vine 91 points.
