| | Light on its feet, this chard shows crisp, pleasing green apple, straw grass, and pine plank. Finish just keeps coming with wonderful summer-like flavors. Much more subtle than Ramey's single vineyard chardonnays I have tried. It comes across as an excellent match for food and a less "busy" wine. More old world than new. Well worth the $40 from a local retailer. I plan to go back for more as it will be an excellent go to wine in the cellar for several years to come. (91 pts.) | | Randy Sloan Match Vineyards | |
