Tasted May 19, 2006 at home. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Weiss Wein glass. Straw color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of pear, yellow apple, a little pineapple and maybe some vanilla (odd since unwooded; not sure where the cream came from ). PURPLE also noted some honey and acacia flowers. Flavors of apple, pear, dried pineapple. Later on some apricot and lemon notes. Sharp acidity; good balance otherwise. Drink over the next 1-2 years. Value based on the winery release price of $13.60 is recommended. (87 pts.)
