Tasted March 23, 2006 at home. Purchased direct from the winery for $34.00 per 750ml. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Weiss Wein glass. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of citrus, pear, lemon oil and honeysuckle. Flavors of peach, honey, pear with a touch of creaminess on the finish. Good balance overall. Value is agreeable. Should drink well for 3 years fairly easily. Looking forward to the rest. (90 pts.)

What did you pair with this Joe and was it a good match?

We brined a chicken and baked it. It was "acceptable". Not an outstanding match, acceptable. I wish we'd gotten some raw oysters or prepared some shellfish instead. I think that would have been the ticket..

Better yet, just delete the entire title. I want this tasting note to be read!

This bottle was better than a previous bottle - a little more of everything including minerality. Tasty. Matched well with food - a light pasta alfredo. (91 pts.)

Thanks for the update. I've been letting mine rest because I tend to like roussanne and/or marsanne wines with a bit of age on them.

    Not bad. Only two attempts!!!

WineTex - what would you estimate is the lifespan of this wine? I'm still holding a few. I seem to remember that this particular blend can improve with age

I don't know about its lifespan. It will probably keep but I don't see any reason to hold it as I like this blend young and fresh. Strictly a preference.
