Doc,

I think they were (although I wouldn't be surprised if I were wrong). I have thought that the Charles Road Chard has always been the best-tasting worst-looking Chard around.

So this is a chard then, yes?

'01 martinelli charles ranch chardonnay. if this is the wine this thread is talking about (& i'm fairly certain it is), then i should mention that i had a bottle last nigh with my dinner of grilled chicken breast & bowtie pasta with heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil & mozzarella.

it was a very nice chardonnay that was indeed a bit cloudy, with buttery citrus flavors & it paired very well with dinner. i got a creaminess from this chard that i liked. i will concur with doc's 90 points & thank davidn for including this in one of his dumps of which i have taken advantage.

This is an very good bottle of white. Cloudy, full of fruit, full-body, pleasant fruity aroma, & a long tasty finish. Very much enjoyed this bottle tonight.

Did not decant, not needed, drink now. My rating of 92 points.

Opened a bottle 2 days ago and it was stellar. Very cloudy with a pale yellow color, but the nose and fruit on the palate were excellent. The wine is very creamy with a viscosity not seen in many chards. Still drinkiing exceptionally well. 92+

I have one 99 left that I need to drink...
