tasted January 17 2004.

One of the most expensive wines in the tasting (coming in at $30 NZD).

This wine was slightly more golden than the others. The palate weight was heavy IMO for a savy. The flavours exhibited both on the nose and palate were slightly smoky with passionfruit, gooseberry and gren tomato coming to the fore. The slightly smoky character proved to be oak both on th enose and in the mouth where some vanilla hints came through. very interesting and complex wine. 89 points.

Brought this all the way from the winery to home in Los Angeles and found out that the local store carries it!

A melange of tropical fruits, grass, mineral, green herbs, lemon/lime. Bright acid. As it gets to room temperature, all flavors are more pronounced and more acidic. A refreshing wine when drunk slightly chilled! 88pts
