Coopers Creek is an interesting vineyard that has always done well with it's wines. The interesting factor is that outside of three vineyards it owns every other wine is sourced from contract growers.

Kim Crawford has always had a considerable influence at CooperS Creek and this is evident in the continued approach by Coopers to try new things. This is Cooper's Creek's first Nelson wine ever.

Kim Crawford is still the wine maker at Coopers and his endevour to maintain quality at reasonable prices hasn't changed.

This wine costs $18 NZD.

Colour: Very pale almost water
Nose: Almost no nose, which surprised me.
Palate: WOW. Intense acids and dominating mouthfeel. Very little fruit, which I think will develope. The wine seems to lack flavours but there is a definate citrus zest. This wine needs a bout two years. Some lime hints there but very subtle.
Overall: Although lacking any true flavours the wine is quite impressive. It needs to develope. 87 on the Jeremy Scale.
