A very forward nose, with big aniseed, mint, mocha, rare beef and nice notes of smoky wood all evident. The palate was dominated by chewy tannins, but filled the mouth well, leaving a very lingering coating of flavours that receded slowly across the palate. Excellent wine. 95 points.
