| | We first tasted wines from this vineyard during our 2003 trip to New Zealand. The balance in the wines impressed us. This is a very nice bottle of wine. The wine has improved since we lasted tasted in 2005. The color is light, and the body is too. The alcohol on the label says 13.5%. The nose is a barnyard funk and palate shows nice cherry flavors. The wine is not complex but does have a decent finish. All the elements of the wine are in balance. I will be drinking remaining bottles of this vintage over the next year or so. Good QPR at about $30. | | Intaxication: Euphoria at getting a tax refund, which lasts until you realize it was your money to start with. | |
