2005 Matua Valley Sauvignon Blanc Paretai - New Zealand, South Island, Marlborough (5/30/2006)
WIML90,PURPLE90,NOWA,WS93

Tasted May 30, 2006 at home. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Weiss Wein glass. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of lemons/lemon zest, honeysuckle and grapefruit. Flavors of grapefruit dominate with some notes of kiwi, light peaches and some gooseberry. Crisp acidy, medium to long finish. Drink over the short term. Based on local COSTCO price of $14.79 I’d say the value here is recommended. (90 pts.)
