| 2002 Dry River Chardonnay. Martinborough, New Zealand. 13% alcohol. $45. Light straw colored wine. Stone, minerals and lemon in nose. Acidity is quite high but not excessive. Nice length on the finish. Quite clean and refreshing but needs more depth and complexity to be considered really outstanding. Could be easily mistaken for a Chablis or even more likely a Melville Chardonnay Clone 76 Inox from the Santa Rita Hills. Drink now to 2010. 90 points. | | | |
