| 2002 Dry River Pinot Noir. Martinborough, New Zealand. 13.5% alcohol. $68. Excellent color with an intense but “cool” nose of peppery fruit, tart cherry, and rose. Concentrated but with virtually perfect acidity that keeps the wine racy. Velvety in the mouth with a long finish. Well structured but tannins are fairly well hidden and not at all prominent. Gorgeous. Along with Felton Road’s offerings, Dry River is New Zealand’s only legitimate cult Pinot Noir. I bought a case for my personal cellar. Drink 2007 to 2012+. 94 points. | | | |

| Gudday Jones,
Nice tasting note. And I do agree the acidity in this wine is perfectly balanced.
Any chance you have tried any of the 2003/4 bottlings yet?
Thanks in advance for any replies. | | | |
