| 2005 Matua Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Marlborough, New Zealand. 12.5% alcohol. $11. A light straw color with zingy aromas of fresh peas, cut herbs, pink grapefruit, and tart pineapple. Nicely balanced acidity with a fine level of fruit. Surprising length. Despite the price increase, this wine remains a decided value. Drink now. 87 points. | | | |
