Pale yellow colour. Expressive nose of grapefruit, fresh cut grass, lemon, and gooseberry. Medium-bodied, fresh tasting, with great acidity. Citrus (grapefruit/lemon) notes follow from nose. Moderate finish, ~30s. 91 points (03/31/2004).

You know, I gobbled this down all last summer and never commented on it. I liked it! Easily 90 points, maybe a notch higher. De-lish!

I like it too, tj. The 2003 will be released here in June, but with another expected price increase and the comments posted that it's not quite up to par, I'll likely pass this time.

I'd have to make a quick decision on it if I wanted some, because the province's allocation sells out in about 10 minutes.

June is about the time that this wine settles. I felt that the 2003 was a little deconstructed when I had it in December. I will probably open another fairly soon and post notes. Still have a few 2002s left but didn't expect to have the 2003s after this year so only got three.

02 - Grapefruit and lemon on nose, and citrus all around. I didn't get any of those 'grassy' notes.
Moderate to long finish. I'm not a SB fan, but this is among the best I've had. 90 points.

I can still find the '02 at $20 and change. I find it far better than the '03. To me, the '02, like all CB SBs I've had, screams grapefruit.

Pale yellow colour. Aromas of asparagus, grass, grapefruit, and lime. Medium-full bodied, crisp, with grapefruit, minerals, and grass notes. Moderate-long finish, ~35-40s. 90 points (06/19/2004).

I had a bottle of 03 last night (at the Reef Grill, Board-O - still a great place)

Heavy mineral and grassy notes. Not much citrus at all. Almost a bit too floral for my tastes, although it improved in the glass.

I think it's about time I opened another one of the 2003s. I said June and it's July so I'll see what's up.

Had one of the 2002s last week - would have posted but was on home machine, de dah de dah de dah...

Still fresh as a daisy with the grapefruit and gooseberries but the tropical fruit flavours are a little more muted. I had to look for them rather than them hitting me. Still got three left and not in as much of a hurry to drink them now, still gorgeous and makes the 2003 look all the more like a bad year.

Had my last bottle over the weekend with fresh oysters and a lobster & shrimp cocktail with mango salsa.

The nose has become very melony with a faint honeysuckle note. The palate is more creamy than crisp with flavors of pear and a wet stone streak. Still a good wine, but in a different way than in its youth. 89P.

Good grief, the last comment is almost exactly the same as mine.

How come there are two threads and I found the other one?

Lady K has just wandered in and said "That wine is just too nice". What more can you say?
