This winery is owned by Philip Woolaston a former MP in NZ Parliament. The wine has had inconsistant quality in the past due to changing winemakers frequently. However in 1999 They secured the services of Daniel Schwarzenbach from Brightwater Vineyards. This has enabled and increased the quality and consistancy of production.

American business man Glen Schaeffer joined the team in 2000 and this little vineyard has moved forward in leaps and bounds. The volume that has been planted in 2000 will ensure that the amount of wine available in 2004 will be double that of 2000. This wine is exported to the US, although I'm not sure who the distributor is.

The vineyard has four varietals- Chardonnay, Sav Blanc, Rielsing and Pinot Noir.

Colour:Green tinged straw
Nose: clean lime with hints of flinty grapefruit zest
Palate: drawn acids and moderate sweet notes balance this wine very well. The length is admirable with a good finish.
Overall: This is a great riesling for the price. 87 Points of the Jeremy Scale , the price in NZD is 20$ so this will translate to about 10-12$ USD.
