| I wasn't wildly impressed with the 2001 (or was it 2000?) version of this, thinking it was a bit thin.
This was different. Gone the thin, watery strawberry juice, in came a much more robust wine. I suspect that the previous one must have been down to a single bottle or tasting trauma.
Colour was a light cherry red. Movement was nice. Nose was herbaceous with sage and parsley.
Vegetable and herb notes now with a burst of raspberries and a good finish. Much more a sipping wine than a glugger. Will now be happy to get next vintage. | | | |
