" Reserve and textural components play a very big part in the Craggy Range style of sav blanc. The Te Muna Road Vineyard style is one of lushness and richness as would be expected from young vines, with an added dimension of capturing, a "graininess" of texture and providing length and persistance of character, not necessarily flavour, but texture. The wine will always finnish dry. Expect the wines to show more textural components and elegance as the vines mature."

A small amount of this wine is barrel fermented and is given 3 months on the lees and is lightly fined before bottling.

Colour-light straw
Nose: Great nose, with complex citrus and grapefruit evident. Malo influences there but not overpowering.
Palate: Good acids backed with solid intergrated fruit characters. The texture is not so usual for a sav blanc being more silky with the zesty-sprizty nots harmonising with the silkyness of the wine. Excellent length and well developed finish showing age will give it good things not bad.
Overall: A very differant although thoroughly enjoyable sav blanc. 90 points on the Jeremy Scale.
