| This was my first New Zealand pinot noir. What a pleasant surprise! Cherries, strawberries and other red berries in the nose, rounded out with a little earth and spice. Moderate, well-integrated tannins and a hint of oak made this wine multidimensional and much more than an infusion of berries on the palate. I'm even tempted to give it a 90. Not expensive at all (I think around $22).
From the Ostego region, which the back label tells me has the only "continental" climate in NZ. | | | |
