Making halibut with a onion/wine sauce. Recipe calls for dry red.
Do you think I should serve red with the meal also?
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is .ps - friends don't let friends eat farmed salmon.

I love New World Pinot with halibut. (Had it just the other night as a matter of fact. Porcini dusted fillet really worked with Pinot.) Sounds like the red sauce preparation would be a good match with Pinot as well.
Beta testing a new signature.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking. Have a bit left of the King Estate from last night.
Will open the Durell Vineyard CSJ as well.

When the recipe calls for a wine, I always try to match the style. I usually use the same wine if possible.
