as an appetizer, i'm making goat cheese and almond stuffed dates, wrapped in bacon.... any suggestions what would pair with? thanks in advance.

I would LOVE a white with that. But, not a Blanc. May be, a chard, viognier, or riesling. I love a chard with goat cheese. Nice touch with the almonds & dates. Loose the bacon though...

thanks lcc. i have a viognier and a pinot gris in the fridge. i was hoping one of those would work!

Go for it Tbird! With the slight bite of the date I would go with the Viognier.

The more I think about it, the more I like Viognier. It should do wonders with dates/almonds.
