For lunch on a cloudy Texas day:

Baked potato and black bean soup (it sucks when you run out of sour cream and both items need more of it)

I also like 'em grilled. Grilled some up back in August for my 2nd wedding anniversary and paired them with a wonderfully complex Chassagne-Montrachet. Some things in life are just meant for each other...

I asked The Rocket Scientist if she thought I should butterfly them for the grill (we normally broil them on top of the shell), and she thought that the split on the top would be enough for them to spread out. It wasn't, and out of the shell, they curled up pretty good. Next time, I'll grill them on top of the shell to see what happens.

We grilled them on the shell over medium to med.+ heat on the gas grill with metal kabob skewers to prevent curling. My only advice to anyone trying this technique is to be sure you remove the tails from the heat earlier than what your gut may tell you because, unless immediately removed from the shell, they will continue to cook.

Also, the last time I grilled up the tails I added a little bit of seafood seasoning and it really improved the overall flavor. But nothing improved the flavor quite like the white burgundy that accompanied...mmmm!

Went to "Party for the Senses," a hard-ticketed event at Disney's Food and Wine Festival. The list of what I ate is far too long, but it was all wonderful. The Festival itself isn't much better than the World Showcase (if at all), but this event was fantastic. Highly recommended.
