| going out tonight to catch a Red (sockeye) and tomorrow will do a side by side tasting of Kenai and Copper River sockeye salmon. It's not a completely equal comparison because the Kenai fish will be about 24 hours fresher...
Planning just a simple grilling with oil and pairing with a Loring Pinot...

| Best salmon I ever tasted was Yukon River King. But they don't stay in the markets very long and many of the alternatives are pretty dang fine.

Love/hate relationship with that place. I LOVE the sushi there (I always sit at the bar and let him drive), but I HATE the bill. Just fantastic stuff.
I've got a CWG food porn pic to post of dinner last night. Need to download from my camera :-D
Quick edit: I've been to Lola and Dahlia Lounge/Bakery. Love Tom Douglas and will definitely hit it!

Been there and paid the price. Even lunch there means leaving a few Ben Franklins... Admittedly extra special though.
There are so many excellent choices in Seattle....

| Slow cooked pork shoulder with a "sounds good" glaze that I tossed some brown sugar, worchestire (sp?), honey, apple juice, and a splash of 20 yr Pappy into. I've good the food porn pics, inspired by CWG, that I'll post if the pics link works. | | | |
