Last night cooked overnight the previous night:
Carolina Pulled Pork sandwiches-yum!

Dumped all ingredients into a stock pot, cooked overnight:
3 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper
3 tablespoons (packed) dark brown sugar
3 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons coarse salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 pounds of pork loin
2 cups apple cider vinegar
1 cup water
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper
1 tablespoon coarse salt

Pull pork BY HAND...

Topped off with Susie's Hot sauce on a seeded bun

Made a new batch of chili to spice up an old batch:

Lean ground beef
5 chopped chili peppers (the greenish-yellow kind)
5 chopped jalepenos
Canned diced tomatoes
Bottle of Wheat Beer
Half a bottle of Pumpkin Ale
2 cans of kidney beans
6 tbs of chili powder
Several teaspons of Susie's Hot Sauce

Holy moly! A great chili with a big bite...

Bella.glad to see you're a fan of Susie's- the best hot sauce I have ever had. Not just heat, plenty of flavor. Great in soups too, really clears out the old sinuses!

Susie's Hot Sauce!

I used to work with a friend of mine from Antigua, who had his sister pick it up and ship it to the states. They would bottle it in old 7 up bottles and we would divy it up in the office. the original is still the best!

I "won" the Susie's from a friend...a little football bet. He gets them from Antigua.

It's only been 2 weeks and 3/4 of the bottle is gone What am I going to do???

Tonight for dinner:
Grilled cheeseburgers with carmelized onions on toasted onion rolls
Sweet potato baked french fries
Test run on the sausage cornbread dressing (Julia Child's recipe)

Sat night birthday dinner:
Babe's fried chicken (supposedly the best fried chicken in the South named by Southern Living), southern biscuits with sorghum and butter, green beans, the most awesome creamed corn ever, mashed potatoes. Good lord...southern eating is why statins were invented

Last night:
Corn chowder
Turkey cutlets with pan salsa
Molasses spice cookies with cold Chai tea
With a NV Gruet Brut

We ate at Babe's in Burleson last Sunday. That food will kill you, but you'll die happy.
