While on vacation a few weeks ago on the Amalfi coast I came across and subsequently fell in love with the white fish called "Pezzogna". I would love to get some here and prepare an awesome fish dinner. Has anyone seen or had this fish here in the USA? If you have never tried it, and have the chance I highly recommend it. It is one of the best pieces of fresh fish I have ever had. (A good chef certainly does make the difference) Any info is appreciated.

It is marketed in the US as dorade. It is also farm raised in Israel and I see it occassionally at restaurants. A good fish market that gets fish directly from Fulton Fish market could probably order it for you.

And it is also a kind of Sea Bream. Google is your friend.
