| Well, I went down to the basement last night and found the freezer door of our 2nd fridge standing wide open.... Everything in there was defrosted. So, for dinner tonight, the ultimate mixed grill
Dry Aged Prime NY Strip Steaks - 3 Dry Aged Prime Filte Mignon - 2 Cold water lobster tails - 2 Organic chicken breasts - 8 Veal loin chops - 3 Lamb loin chops - 4
Anyone want to come over for dinner?

Doing Body for Life, lots of fish lately. Salmon, wild caught. Tonight we broiled it in a baking dish with just a little olive oil sprayed on. I'm also getting used to eating sweet potatoes.
How are you doing the sweet potatoes? Just curious...and what is "Body for Life?"

| | shoved a mixture of some just cooked chopped italian sausage, red pepper, chives, thyme, ground pepper into chicken breasts seasoned the outside with some thyme, chives and S&P and browned on the stove and finished in the oven. used the pan with fond to cook onions and more peppers with some more thyme, deglazed with a little B&B and sherry, then threw some baby spinach and the leftover pieces of cooked sausage in there for a quick side "salad". | | | |

| | With the decent weather here in Chicago I've been having fun with soft shell crab on the Grill. If weather dosen't cooperate I'll just pan fry it indoors or even bake it in the oven. Either way I've been enjoying this treat with a Sauv - Peter Michael or even Kim Crawford (which is a decent one at a great price) - I love my New Z Sauvs. | | | |

| | Tonights dinner was a pork tenderloin rolled in a mix of 6 different black peppers. I didn't even know there were 6 different black peppers but our chef seems to have found them. He added a little brocolli, cauliflower, carrots, and a yam and I have convinced myself it was a healthy meal. | | Here's to the corkscrew - a useful key to unlock the storehouse of wit, the treasury of laughter, the front door of fellowship, and the gate of pleasant folly. | Last night at the original Reata Inn in Alpine, TX:
Jalepeno and cilantro soup...this was to die for but just too rich, I ordered a cup that turned out to be huge Carne asada topped with enchiladas...quality was good, but the meat could have been a tad less spicier
They have the worst wine list I have ever seen...7 whites and 7 reds...half of the selection were Texas "wines"...yuck
I really enjoyed visiting Reata Inn and look forward to dining at other locations.
