Too salty for me...but it's been years since I've had a can of that. But I have to agree, it would be my #1 of canned chicken soup.

If it is not home-made, it is not a soup.

Yeah, yeah... I know you gore mets think a can is a place to pee.

Some of us aren't as accomplished if not slightly cooking impared. This isn't something I slurp every week. I will say that on the occasion when I feel a cold coming my way and I want something easy. I've tried many of the CN soups that are supposidly better than this old original stuff and none of them meet snuff as well as el original.

Now, instead of putting us poor canned soup nazis how about giving me another canned CN soup that you maybe think is better.

Pops, it really is so easy to make soup. Want some easy recipes?

insipid salty water. no thanks. If you have to open a can of chicken soup the Progresso chicken with wild rice is palatable.

I agree that the only canned soup that I can stand is Progresso. But even with that, I still have to perform a Carrot-ectomy. I hate cooked carrots in soups and stews. Seems like many of these canned soups are 50% carrots!

Beta testing a new signature.

I think Wolfgang Puck's canned soups are just fine - its just soup we are talking about after all.

I've only had one can of this...and hated it. Unusually loaded with sodium that the taste came through...much more than normal canned soup.

I so rarely find his stuff around these parts. That said his tomato soup is pretty good when comparing it to other canned soup offerings.

I don’t know about that, Jones. Soup done right is very healthy, nutritious, & good for you. We take our soup very seriously & make each & every variety from scratch on our own @ least once every 2 weeks. And, it will last us for 2-3 days.

Agreed, lcc. Some of my best dishes we prepare for wine meals are soups. Ask BHVineyard or TBird about my Vichyssoise. Lobster bisque is another specialty.

David, have you tried the ready made soups that Safeway are selling these days? They aren't canned; they come in a sealed plastic tub and are perishable. We've tried a few of them and have been suitably impressed; grab a French loaf and some English butter and you've got a great quick meal.

As far as tinned soups go, I swear by Baxters.

That's all true LCC but its still just soup. When you go to a top flight restaurant are you excited about tasting their soup or are you looking at other things? I'm looking at other things.
