I'd never have Pinot Noir with a tomato-based dish. Maybe a Sangiovese.

I think Cioppino is actually American, but I vote for an Italian wine.

Ask t-rep... he made a truly kick-a$$ cioppino for the offline he hosted a few months ago, so he has bragging rights as a true cioppino master.
