| Well, this was our last night of pairing before finals. We had some very good desserts and a few that were just so so. My favorite dessert of the night went to the Almond Polenta Cake, so easy yet spectacular and when paired with a late harvest Zin ..... well ..... oralgasmic. A couple of the Tapas that I will be making for parties, Warm Olives, Onion Tart and Fried Marcona Almonds ... Mmmmmm
The Food:
Pinenut Amond Tart(very nice and beautiful)
Chicken Stuffed Mushrooms(was supposed to be pork but we modified it)
Warm Olives with Garlic, Thyme and Lemon zest
Almond Polenta Cake
Empanadillas de Atun
Ibarra Chocolate Cake
Tortilla Paisana
Custard Fruit Tartlets
Garlic Shrimp
Creme Brulee
Onion Tart(awesome!!)
Fried Marcona Almonds
Port Poached Pears filled Crepes with Chocolate sauce
Chorizo Stuffed Bacon Wrapped Dates(please make me stop, I forgot that I loved this on as well)

Lustau Papirusa Light Manzanilla Sherry (Palomino)
Gonzales Byass Tio Pepe fino Sherry (Palomino) this one grew on me
Lustau Los Arcos Dry Amontillado Sherry (Palomino)
Luston Don Nuno Dry Oloroso Sherry (Palomino and/or Pedro Ximenex)
Blandy's Rainwater Madeira (Tinta Negra Mole)
Broadbent Fine Rich Sweet Madeira (Tinta Negra Mole) tied for WOTN
Sandeman Armada Rich Cream Oloroso (Palomino and/or Pedro Ximenex) tied for WOTN
