Splash decanted and open 4 hours.

I'm not sure about this wine and how it will age:

Very deep garnet color. The nose is somewhat restrained (opening with airing) but shows bacon and black fruits framed by sweet oak. The palate is rich, big with significant soft tannins, black fruits and toasty vanilla. There is noticeable acidity which frames the wine but occassionally shows as a slight sourness in the finish (hence my concern).

A good, potentially very good bottle but overall judgement reserved.

After 6 hours, I did not detect the trace of sourness. I am still cautious about the longetivity of this wine but it should be pleasurable in the 3-5 year window.
